What is FireBox?

FireBox is a WordPress plugin that allows site owners, admins, and developers to create personalized and targeted popups to promote special offers, grow their email lists, and reduce cart abandonment. It enables them to engage visitors at the right moment with various popup formats and advanced targeting options.

FireBox offers multiple popup formats, including lightbox popups, fullscreen popups, sticky bars, sidebars, and scroll-in popups. These different formats allow you to display popups in various styles and placements, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with your website’s design and user experience.

With flexible trigger points, FireBox ensures that popups appear at the right moment to maximize engagement. You can trigger popups on page load, on click, on exit-intent, on scroll, and more. These options help you capture user attention without being intrusive.

FireBox also provides advanced targeting capabilities, allowing you to deliver popups to the right audience. You can target users based on their role, date and time, geographic location, referrer URL, and other conditions. This ensures that your popups reach the most relevant visitors and increase conversions.

Creating Popups in Gutenberg

We did not reinvent the wheel. We built FireBox on top of the Gutenberg block editor. This allows you to design popups using the familiar WordPress block system. This makes customization intuitive, as you can use the same blocks you already work with when creating content pages. FireBox also includes form-building capabilities, enabling you to add contact forms, newsletter sign-up forms, lead magnet forms, surveys, booking forms, and more directly inside your popups.

FireBox leverages many of WordPress’s built-in functions and features. It uses the MySQL database for data storage but keeps all forms and entries in its own tables, ensuring efficiency and organization. FireBox is open-source and GPL-licensed, with all code fully accessible and unencrypted.

What it isn’t

FireBox is not a SaaS platform. We do not host your popups or forms nor collect or store your form submissions. All data is stored on your own WordPress site and server, giving you complete control over your information.
